Ready to Adopt a Furever Family Member?

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE APPLICATION PROCESS

If you are interested,  fill out an application COMPLETELY and send that to us. Then, assuming complete, we will contact you (via email or phone) to discuss the application and chat, followed by a meet and greet with the adoptable.  Please ensure you application is complete, as incomplete applications will not be forwarded to an adoption counselor and won't be considered for adoption. Being volunteer dependent, it may take up to a week for a volunteer adoption counselor to contact you.   We are 100% volunteer dependent.  Because we are volunteer: our applications reviewed, meet and greets, and home visits are done around our volunteer's full-time jobs, life commitments and activities.  We have no paid employees, we are not for profit.  We thank you for your patience.  Waiting that extra few days is nothing compared to the love that a PPAR pet provides for years to come.

In order to set up a visitation with one of the adoptables, a COMPLETE application must be submitted.  All of our animals are in foster homes and we ask to have information on the potential adopters for the safety of our animals and their foster families.  You are more than welcome to attend an event to meet some of our lovable adoptables.

Adoption process: An application once submitted is forwarded to a volunteer for review.  The application must be complete or it will not be forwarded for processing.  The application begins processing where one of our volunteers calls to chat with the applicant.  After that, references, landlords and vets are called.  Make sure to call your vet and sign their release if necessary, missing this step might delay your application as it is a step in any approval process.  Then our volunteer will set up a meet and greet.  These are usual done at a mutual location and we ask that you bring current dogs if available.  Meet and greets can happen with multiple applicants.  Our animals also attend events.  To shall we say, not put the leash before the dog, adoptables attend events until the day their contract is signed and they are in their furever homes.  no home is guaranteed, families change their minds, it may not be the right fit, families realize they aren't ready...only a few reasons why our animals attend events until their contract is signed.  We will not limit our animals.  Shortly after the meet and greet and reference calls have been made and returned, the adoptable is able to have a home visit.  This is of course dependent on volunteer and foster availability...remember, We are 100% volunteer dependent.  As long as all goes well, we discuss adoption.  Our adoptable has the final say as to where they go... You may love their picture or their look, but they might not be the right fit.  no application is deemed accepted without all steps.  No contract is guaranteed or discussed until an application is approved.  We strive to make perfect matches.  We reserve the right to refuse/deny adoption/placement at any time.  Pets are a forever family decision.  With that said, we reserve the right to refuse placement as surprises or gifts.  We are happy to help find a forever family member, but there are many different choices, including but not limited to personality, color, energy level, breed, coat etc etc... It may look like a lot, and it is...but as soon as volunteers are available, we process as soon as possible.  Having no facility and no paid employees gives our animals 100%!

Our volunteers review applications, perform home visits and do adoptions on their own time and expense. With that stated, we can only guarantee a volunteer within 65 driving miles of 53170.  We still welcome ALL applications in the event a volunteer is in your area or passing through your area for the final step of the application, the home visit.  Please do not let the guaranteed miles deter you as there is always a possibility there is a volunteer in your area or passing through, but we thank you for your understanding in the event there isn't.  Please still submit your application. While suggestions are welcomed, we do not do 'virtual tours'.  The home visit is not just to visit, but also to make sure our animal is comfortable and it is the best possible match.  We are their second chance.  While we would love to place Pitter Patter Paws in every great home, sadly we cannot, but we are sure there is a great rescue in your area!

If you are looking for a specific breed or specie, add that to your application!  We are a foster based rescue and need a home for the animals to enter.  We update the website as much as possible, but we always have new additions!  We also like to know what you are waiting for to add to your furever home.

PPAR takes the best educated guess of the BREED of dogs and cats.  We give no guarantee of breed.  At times, we don't know the history of the animals that enter PPAR and can only do our best.

We strive to place the perfect animal that fits your family needs and wants.  PPAR adoption counselors review the application, visitation and needs to make this the most perfect match possible.  If one doesn't fit, another will.

Adoption fees subject to change without notice.

Thank you for patience and understanding.  We look forward to finding your furever family member.
